I tailor-make each treatment based on my
client's unique needs at his/her time of
service. My goal is to make a
significant therapeutic change with
every visit. My massage therapy career
began working fulltime with professional
athletes. In 1989, I founded Massage
Therapy Center of Winnetka. Most
recently, I served as the massage
therapist for the 2005 World Series
Champion Chicago White Sox
baseball team. In addition to operating
the clinic, I also own
Acuforce International, Inc., a
company that makes healthcare products.
Since 1999, I’ve served on the Advisory
Board of the Chicago School of Massage
Therapy and serve as a Clinical
Instructor for Trinity University,
Deerfield, Illinois. I’m also a
columnist for Massage Today Magazine.

The massage therapy that I offer ranges
from general relaxation to advanced
corrective work. I specialize in
Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy, the
newest evolution of St. Johns Method of
Neuromuscular Therapy. This treatment
modality focuses on correcting the
postural distortions that cause chronic
pain, dysfunction and injury. By
eliminating postural distortions and the
resulting muscular imbalances, I help
clients to return to a state of health
that allows them the freedom to live
life to the fullest. My confidence in
this method of treatment is so
great that I am an instructor
for
Neurosomatic Educators, LLC,
teaching INT to other health
professionals across the county. I have served as
the Assistant Director at the clinic
since 2000 and, in this capacity, work
to provide the best massage experience
for all of our clients.

I use massage to support the body/mind
in its attempt to be well and achieve
homeostasis. Even though the body is
incredible at coping with chronic
stresses, it needs help recharging in
order to prevent injury and disease. My
goal is to remind the body/mind how it
feels to be vibrant, whole and clear in
order to activate self-healing. I would
like to foster my client's daily
awareness of their own bodies and have
access to the joyful feeling that occurs
when their energy is full and flowing. I
have been part of the Massage Therapy
Center of Winnetka since 2002. I practice
Swedish, deep tissue and pregnancy
massage and am currently a student of
oriental medicine.

I believe in treating the whole person,
body, mind and soul. My hands listen to
each individual to determine the best
method to alleviate discomfort and
achieve optimum function. I utilize a
variety of techniques to achieve this
goal. Cranialsacral therapy and
Somatoemotional Release are gentle,
effective methods of accessing the
body’s self-healing mechanisms. I also
use Swedish, deep tissue and
neuromuscular techniques as more direct
treatment approaches. I have been
certified in Pre and Perinatal Massage
since 2000 and enjoy working with
mothers and their children. I am honored
to be in this profession and I truly
love to help people.

My goal is to assist my clients in
achieving a higher state of health and
wellness. I listen to my clients to
determine if they are interested in
massage for relaxation, stress
reduction, pain relief, increasing
postural efficiency, injury recovery, or
as a part of an athletic training
regimen. I use a variety of Swedish
massage, muscle therapy (a.k.a. deep
tissue), sports massage, and myofascial
techniques to meet my clients' needs.

Massage is a wonderful tool for pain and
stress management. Working with Swedish,
myofascial, and deep tissue techniques,
I like to give a massage that is both
therapeutic and relaxing. The range of
issues massage can address is broad, and
employing these techniques makes a real
difference. I talk to each client to
tailor the techniques to individual
needs focusing on the soft tissue
manipulation that can help balance the
body and mind.

I enjoy providing therapeutic
massage that relaxes the body
and mind. My main influences of
massage are eclectic and are
based on Canadian teachings in
regards to clinical massage, myofascial
and trigger point therapies. I also use
intuition and sense of touch to
individualize treatments.

I listen to each client’s specific needs
and try to determine a treatment plan
that will best benefit their health and
wellbeing. Because each client’s needs
vary from one situation to another, I
like to fuse together different
techniques according to their needs.
Some of the techniques I specialize in
are: trigger point therapy, myofascial
release techniques, stress and pain
reduction, Swedish, sports, and deep
tissue massage.

My passion for massage therapy and
facilitating the healing of others comes
through in each treatment,
custom-tailored to fit each of my
client's needs. Whether my patients
suffer from headaches, sinus issues, low
back pain or chronic muscle tension from
stress, each effective treatment creates
a change in muscle tissue and assures
relief by targeting the cause of the
symptoms. By skillfully integrating deep
tissue, neuromuscular therapy, and
sports massage, each therapeutic
technique effectively nurtures the body,
rejuvenates health and well-being, and
ultimately achieving balance the body
needs to heal itself. I am truly honored
to be part of the healing process.

I feel that a deeply effective massage
experience depends on truly mindful,
respectful touch. I tailor my style to
meet your needs for our session, drawing
on my favorite techniques from Swedish
massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports
Massage, Shiatsu, and Reflexology; from
the specific pain and tension relieving
to the flowing and nurturing. My goal
for each treatment is that you leave my
table feeling better than before.
